IELTS FAQ

Questions learners often ask

What is the difference between IELTS Academic and General Training?

Both versions include Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Listening and Speaking are the same in both; Reading and Writing use different material and tasks. Academic is commonly used for higher education, while General Training is commonly used for migration or below-degree training.

Does IELTS preparation cover all four skills?

Yes. Preparation can include Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, with extra attention given to the skills where you need the most improvement.

Can I get feedback on IELTS Writing and Speaking?

Writing and Speaking improve most effectively with guided practice and feedback. Dolphin preparation can include structured writing review, speaking practice and correction of recurring language problems.

Do you include timed or mock-style IELTS practice?

Timed practice can be included to help learners understand pacing, question types and test pressure. The exact amount of mock-style practice can be adjusted to the learner’s preparation stage.
